As Global Operational Buyer you have a key role in the organization. You will interact with sites, suppliers and colleagues from all over the globe on a day to day basis.

The organization is chemical oriented, located in "De Kanaalzone". They are producing a wide variation of products and deliver these to different customers within Europe. The applications are used in products like paint, photo-industry, oil and life science products.
Functieomschrijving
In this role you will actively participate in the indirect sourcing activities with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving quality or vendor service levels. You will work closely together with the Global Sourcing Managers who are responsible for the global sourcing strategy for a specific sub category. Your focus will be split across long term projects such as assisting in preparing and coordinating bids as well as operational activities such as monitoring the purchasing process and negotiate with suppliers.
You will actively participate in the sourcing activities for the global Contractors & Utility subcategory with the goal of achieving cost reductions, while maintaining or improving quality or vendor service levels. This job will be a combination of the role of Operational Buyer (has the main focus) and the role of Sourcing Manager (secondary focus). You will maintain procurement documents, files and records. It's your job to assist sourcing managers in tabulating bids and preparing proposals and also provide general office support. You will be in charge of the operational / administrative part of the soucring process. You will handle issue purchase orders / call-offs and follow up on orders to ensure that items are shipped and develivered on time. You will be negotiating with local suppliers of services, address and solve issues during the sourcing process and analyze processes and share learnings with the organization. Also, assisting the Global Sourcing Managers in preparing and coordinating bids and providing them with relevent information is a part of your job. Reviewing, preparing, verifying and/or approving financial and business transactions within established frameworks and guidelines will also be your responsibility.
Functie-eisen
We are looking for you when you have a Bachelor or Master degree, demonstrated skill at maintaining high accuracy and attention to detail. It's important to have at least 3 years of relevant work experience within Procurement. You have excellent command of English and Hebrew, additional language skills are desirable and you have strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Besides that you have excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, demonstrated negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
