We are looking for a product owner within the Online Platform teams. She or he will manage the stakeholders and organize the product backlog. The PO Design System will take a product development approach to executing the design system vision. To this end, the PO will work closely with the Creative Director. The team is developing the UI library of the bank. The product owner is responsible for the propagation of the product vision and the adoption of the product within the bank. The teams are located in Utrecht.

The (Scrum) Product Owner needs to feel ownership of the product from a changing and running perspective, and a keen sense of how to use agile practices and Scrum to maximize that value. Strive for an effective balance between system development and system maintenance. She or he will prioritize stories, maximize business value and keep a good relationship with stakeholders as designers, developers and other product owner. We're looking for candidates who don't hold back and will push for solutions, are passionate about customer experience and have considerable experience working in a (Scrum) software development environment. You dare to challenge and are open and concise in your communication towards your own team and other stakeholders.

Our department:  Client's Online Platform (ROP) is the technical backbone of all our Online services with approximately 4 million users. As you can imagine, ROP is available 24/7 and has high performance and availability standards. We're looking for colleagues who don't hold back and will push for solutions, dare to challenge, are passionate about technology and have considerable experience in web development. (S)he must have a track record of building maintainable, scalable, and performing web applications .

Functie-eisen

The Must-Haves:

• + 4 years of product owner experience;

• Strong analytical and conceptual skills, being able to address customer issues and possible business impact;

• Convincing skills so the environment adopt the product;

• Experience with Front-end platform development and/or developing and working with design systems

• Focus on system adoption and success (outcomes), rather than technical deliverables (outputs)

• Focus on the design system as a product, where user experience is prioritized above developer experience (thought both get attention)

• Demonstrable experience in working in Design Ops and/or with designers as well as developers

• Experience with working together with UX.

• Exceptional communication skills, both in English and Dutch;

 

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with launching platforms

• Banking & financial knowledge
